Comcast has doubled the interenet speeds

Company officials announced last week that Comcast is increasing the speeds of two of its most popular XFinity Internet speed plans, “Blast!” and “Extreme 50” at no additional cost

-Internet customers with 25 Mbps download speeds will increase to 50 Mbps. Upload speeds will increase from 4 Mbps to 10 Mbps.

-Internet customers with 50 Mbps download service will increase to 105 Mbps. Upload speeds will increase from 15 to 20 Mbps.

-Internet customers with 15 Mbps download speeds will increase to 25 Mbps. Upload speeds will increase from 2 to 5 Mbps.

Customers will enjoy more than twice as fast Internet speeds on multiple devices.

Comcast Cable is the nation's largest video, high-speed Internet and phone provider to residential customers under the XFINITY brand and also provides these services to businesses.
Most Comcast Internet customers will simply need to re-start their modem, though some customers will need an equipment upgrade. The increases will only show up for those using modems that support the DOCSIS 3.0 cable Internet standard.Customers can also buy their own DOCSIS 3.0 modems for use on Comcast’s system.
